ABOUT SAMI KELLI
I cannot remember a time when I was not drawing, building or thinking about how to enhance or change my environment. Art is the means through which I express myself, and I love being exposed to and experimenting with different media. Expressing myself through art has always been the perfect outlet, and the way that best expresses my feelings.
I see art in everyday life, and one of my hobbies is reinventing common household objects. I’ve always had a talent, as well as a love for learning and perfecting new skills. A few examples of this include repairing and building furniture, three dimensional modeling, home renovating, clothing design, and art in almost every medium. It is my belief, that if there is a desire for something that you cannot fulfill, for whatever reason, you can do/create it on your own. All you need is shameless over-confidence, and the ability to turn a failure into an opportunity. This mindset is my biggest strength and it can be applied to just about anything. I look forward to expanding my background, and working in different media along with collaborating with my peers who are equally devoted to their artistic vision.
Samantha Pool is a current student at an art based college, SCAD, in Savannah, Georgia. While she has a passion for creating in every medium, she chose to major in the business of beauty and fragrance, a major that encompasses much more than its title suggests. with my time at SCAD I’ve taken countless unique classes that I’ve not only learned many new skills from, but have also takes inspiration to further those skills on my own time. Ive taken business classes that range anywhere from building my own business, to mastering excel and its application for math. Ive also taken classes involving studies of marketing, presenting, communications, design, fashion, beauty, and more. Some of my favorites helped me learn how to design and launch new products to then simulate the launch and marketing of those products, complex market analysis, simulation of building a business from and idea to launch, and even working with a local business to create an improved marketing plan. I am still learning and I never want to stop. My excitement for my future working in the industry is forever growing.
